Terms of service

Effective October 18, 2026

These terms cover the Mentor Mailbox website, student application, and mentor workspace. Mentor Mailbox is operated by Morgan Intrator, referred to below as “we,” “us,” or “our.” You are the person or organization using the service.

1. The service

Mentor Mailbox provides tools for planning coursework and personal projects, organizing tasks and dates, and viewing authorized school and mentor information. Features and access depend on the account’s role and the features currently available. Demonstrations and previews may show capabilities that are not yet available to every account.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must have the legal authority and permissions needed to use the service and provide information to it, including any parent, guardian, or school authorization required for your use.

If you act for a school or other organization, you must have permission to act for it and to provide the records you enter. An invitation, assignment, or technical permission does not authorize you to use someone else’s information for unrelated purposes.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for the activity you authorize through your account. Contact me@morganatwork.com if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Clerk provides account and session management. Google sign-in, when offered, is an optional way to authenticate an account; it does not grant access to someone else’s Mentor Mailbox workspace. Workspace access is determined separately by the service’s permissions.

4. School and mentor workspaces

Authorized administrators manage organization records, enrollments, roles, and assignments. Use information available through those permissions only for the purpose for which access was granted. Do not disclose student information to people who are not authorized to receive it.

The current mentor view provides assigned roster information. A mentor assignment does not currently provide access to students’ personal projects or message content. Access may end when the relevant permission or assignment ends.

5. Your content

You keep the rights you already have in the content you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content and to make it available to the people you authorize.

The permission you give us is limited to hosting, storing, copying, transmitting, and displaying your content as needed to provide, secure, and support the service and its authorized workspace features. This permission is not a transfer of ownership of your content.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• Break applicable law, infringe another person’s rights, or provide information you are not authorized to share.
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent your authority, harass others, or misuse student or school information.
• Access another account or workspace without permission, bypass access restrictions, or attempt to obtain credentials or private records.
• Introduce malicious software, disrupt the service, or interfere with other users’ access.

7. Privacy and information on your device

The privacy policy describes the service’s information practices. The application keeps local copies of data in your browser. Use an appropriate device and browser profile for the information you access; signing out should not be treated as a guarantee that all local data has been erased.

8. Availability and changes to the service

Features may change and the service may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance, failures, or other reasons. Do not rely on the service as your only copy of information you need to retain.

9. Ending use or restricting access

You may stop using the service. Account closure, removal of local browser data, revocation of workspace access, and deletion of stored records are separate actions.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, protect users or the service, or comply with applicable law.

10. Availability and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude a right or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

11. Updates and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and effective date will be published on this page, with any additional notice required for a change.
